About the project:

My Project was the creation and outfitting of a Replica Revolutionary War Redoubt at Fort Greene park to be used as an outdoor educational center and interpretive area. Ft. Greene park has a rich revolutionary era history including the prison ship martyrs monument and crypt, which hold the ashes of over 11,000 revolutionary war martyrs. My project is designed not only to bring light to this history, but also to serve as a general use outdoor space, tripling the seating capacity of the existing visitors center. With the help of a team of over 60 volunteers across 4 full days and many afternoons we build authentic revolutionary war elements, such as a hearth that could be used for cooking demonstrations, and other interpretive elements.
